Just like a hammer, any tool can be misused. However when in the hands of an expert, it serves its purpose beautifully. There are many types of dog training tools like flat collars, martingales, prong collars, slip leads, harnesses, and remote (e-collars) to name a few. Each has a purpose, and when used properly, tools like prong or e-collars are highly effective communication devices not simply punishment. However, misuse or poor timing can create confusion or stress for the dog. That’s why it’s best to work with a knowledgeable trainer who can guide you on proper use and best practices.

Bottom line: Training collars are communication tools, not quick fixes. With the right approach, they can support clear communication, structure, and better behavior.

Can training help my dogs anxiety?
